A day on the slopes in Thredbo is not complete until you have had a stopover at the legendary Kareela Hutte. Very conveniently (or too conveniently!) located on the Supertrail at an altitude of 1810m.
Kareela Hutte provides magnificent views of the slopes and has been a haven for skiers since the 1960's seeking a quick pit-stop or longer three-course breaks followed up by schnapps.
The modern a la carte Australian menu has a European influence and is accompanied by a large range of schnapps. Drop in for breakfast, cake, coffee or a long lunch, but remember you are still half way up the mountain and you have to get down to the village!
There is a large selection of cellared wines, champagne, European beer and of course, traditional schnapps to follow up!
